Volodymyr Shymanskyi

Orthopedic surgeon in the team of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor A.Yu. Filya.

Specialization: deformities and post-traumatic complications of bone fractures, foot pathology, orthoplastic surgery, restoration of bone defects.

Studied at the Ivano-Frankivsk Technical University of Oil and Gas, where he obtained an engineering degree, and later at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.

Applies engineering education and acquired skills in designing orthopedic devices for the treatment of complex deformities and segmental defects of the lower limb bones under the guidance of Professor A.Yu. Filya.

Mastered orthoplastic surgery techniques to assist military personnel while working at the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital during the first year of the war.

Specialization and main areas of activity:

• Pathologies of the foot and ankle joint;
• Traumatic injuries of tubular bones and joints;
• Post-traumatic complications.

Underwent internships in leading clinics in Ukraine in core areas of expertise.

Taught orthopedics and traumatology at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyi.

Participant in scientific and practical conferences on topics such as:

• Combat trauma;
• Treatment of segmental bone defects using bio-glass;
• Endoscopic spine surgery;
• Pathology of the foot and ankle joint, among others.
